The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has proposed a solution to the controversy whereby former tribal lands would be returned to the Makah in exchange for a Congressional amendment to the clause in their 1855 treaty permitting whale hunting. The Sea Shepherd proposal is available on the World Wide Web at http://www.seashepherd.org/wh/us/mkswap.html

stopwhalekill.org has an excellent web site devoted to ending the hunting of gray whales, with a specific focus on the Makah whale hunt.

Safe Passing is a site dedicated to information about the Makah whale hunt.
