Fast food chain
A hamburger for $2.50 is very special
at a fast food chain,
for in it are azure blue butterflies,
tomatoes, giant cicadas,
onions, bits of jaguars and
anacondas twenty feet long,
great lilies and wild orchids,
Some beef, a few Venus fly traps,
and 8000 species that haven't been catalogued;
including the mold on the Alarana berries in the
rain forests of Panama that would have been
the cure for cancer had we found it in time....
Then add some ground up bits
of laughing monkeys and lavendar parrots,
The land was cleared to graze for beef
for 10 years until the soil erodes
and has no nourishment in Costa Rica.
But never mind, there's always
Venezuela and Brazil,
and eventually Canada and California.
So, for now.....
just put a little more mustard on,
maybe it will cover up the funny taste.
