1997 Letter to President Clinton on the Human Toll of the Industrial Climate Crisis. While the President was preparing for the Kyoto climate summit, Andy described for Bill Clinton the human suffering from global warming. Prepared for Climate Action NOW!
- In 1987, Andy Caffrey organized the first direct action/ecotage campaign on Earth against field tests of genetically-engineered organisms. In this case, the release in the San Francisco Bay Area of a modified bacterium known as Ice-minus and Frostban. The campaign caused the firm to go bankrupt, and provoked the cancellation for a decade of U.S. field tests.
